The Little Brown Bag That Started It All

If you’ve been with me for a while, you already know: my catering didn’t begin with big events or fancy setups. It started with something simple — my lunch specials… and a little brown paper bag.
Back in the beginning, every Tuesday and Thursday, I’d pack those lunch specials in that little brown bag. Nothing fancy, nothing branded, just good food made with love and tucked inside a bag that became part of my identity. Folks in town started recognizing it before they even recognized me. They’d say, “Tracy, you got those lunch specials today?” And I’d smile, because that little bag meant I was feeding my community one meal at a time.
What most people don’t realize is how much that bag truly means to me. It isn't just a container — it is a symbol of where I started. It holds my hopes, my recipes, my heart, and every bit of faith I have, that maybe, just maybe, this small-town girl could build something real.
And here’s the part that still gets me: even now, with catering orders, and a few small events, that little brown bag still holds true. It reminds me to stay grounded. To serve with heart. To remember that big things grow from small beginnings. Every time I prepare a lunch special or pack up food for someone, I think about the real meaning behind the little brown bag — the one that still carries a purpose.
So, when you see me posting my weekly specials or delivering meals around town, just know… it all started right here - in a small town. A handful of faithful customers. And a little brown bag that changed everything.
